A Place of Zen

Wow, it’s amazing how time flies. I decided to take a break from blogging to catch up with winter cleaning and paperwork for a couple of weeks and it turned into months. I can’t believe I haven’t posted or shared photos for over 2 months here. I’ve always enjoyed taking pictures and sharing the beautiful scenes I’ve captured daily or weekly. Don’t get me wrong, my camera’s still glued to my hand and there’s still a lot of photo walks happening but the sharing part has been few and only on my social site. I guess it will take me awhile to comb through hundred of pictures from various trips, near & far that I’ve collected since November. Well then, let’s get started with what I’ve seen today.

The weather has been nice here in Austin for the past 2 weeks and we’ve decided to stop hibernating in our comfy hidey hole, pause streaming our favorite shows for a few hours on days off and go out for walks. Today, we decided to have a walk at Town Lake trail. This is one of the places that’s gives you a sense of relaxation and peace. As one Austinite we met by the side of the lake aptly replied, “it’s not all about fishing but it’s mostly about the peace of mind I get when I’m here.” Ah, it is indeed a place of zen.

But then we discovered that it’s not only us who’s enjoying a zen moment but also the turtles at the lake. Most of them were out to enjoy the sun and breeze. Let’s see how many turtles you can spot in this little arched branch they’ve found.

    Nice reflections too!
