It’s been rainy here in Austin recently and it seems like winter. Although it’s cold, we’re still thankful for the rain since we really need it. It’s definitely helping more wildflowers to bloom. I’m looking forward to a sunnier day this weekend so we can photograph wildflowers and hawks at Canyon of the Eagles Nature Park. We’ll be camping there for two days, so I’m constantly checking if there’s any change to the weather forecast. We already missed one rescheduled Balcones Canyonlands bird walk due to the weather. I was just looking forward to get a glimpse of the golden-cheeked warbler. Oh well, hopefully soon and like I said, we need the water.
Anyway, one of the things that keeps my heart happy is visiting the botanical garden and that’s just what we did last Sunday. We went to Zilker Botanical Garden for its annual spring garden festival. We strolled through the various booths, sampled and bought some of their wares but most of our time was spent walking through the flower gardens. These are some of my captures with some colors and light enhanced for a more vibrant feeling.
