Blossom Lures

Musk Thistle is an invasive weed here in the U.S. but it does have beautiful pink blossoms. Its blossom lures butterflies, bees and other insects.

These are photographed at Pedernales Falls State Park in Johnson City, TX.

  1. Lovely images, Shey! The last shot with the butterfly is just lovely! Thank you for linking up to my critter party. Enjoy your day and Happy Easter!

  2. One state’s weed is another’s treasure! Even if it means just for the birds and bees. Great images Shey 🙂

I love the “thistle family” – even if they are considered a problem is some places – but I suppose it’s no different than other species ending up where they don’t belong and take over – kind of like an environmental invasion.

Thanks for coming by today and for your kind words. I will visit you as soon as I can. Have a fantastic day and don't forget to smile. ~ Shey
